The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has signed a 480 million ruble five-year loan to DeltaLeasing. This long-term loan is the EBRD’s first one to the Russian leasing sector since the crisis began.

Moscow office of DeltaLeasing celebrates the 3rd anniversary of working at Western Russia’s market. Since its opening in May 2007 the office has acquired and transferred to the lease the equipment in the amount of $42 million.

Following the results of 2009 DeltaLeasing has taken 18th place by new business volume in the “TOP-100 Russian leasing companies” rankings prepared by the Russian rating agency “Expert”.

According to the 2009 Leasing market research compiled by the Russian Association of leasing companies, DeltaLeasing leads the ranking of the forestry and trade equipment leasing. The company is in the TOP-20 list of lessors pursuant to the lease portfolio volume.

DeltaLeasing has financed the acquisition of equipment for a new metal-plastic windows producing plant of the group of companies Konsib. Investments from DeltaLeasing totaled $1.3 million, with a lease term of 5 years.

Lease projects with the companies of Sakha republic financed by DeltaLeasing in 2009 totaled 55 million rubles. Within 2.5 years of work with business of Sakha (Yakutia) the aggregate investments of DL reached 430 million rubles.

On March 31, 2010 the Board of Directors of the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) approved a $90 million loan to DeltaLeasing. The OPIC loan will enable CJSC DeltaLeasing to expand its vehicle and equipment leasing operations to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Russia.

Taking into account the value of the leasing contracts concluded during the year DeltaLeasing dominated the Russian leasing market in forestry and trade equipment segments in 2009.

Over the period of January-February, 2010 DeltaLeasing’s offices in Western Russia have concluded 42 leasing contracts which amounted more than 100 million rubles.

The early 2010 has revealed positive dynamics in leasing market of Ekaterinburg. Sales in this period increased the level of pre-crisis 2008 by 10%.
